Today Mrs. McPherson, B.C.’s dad, Miss Wetzel, and Mr. Sadowski were here. It was a half day today and we went outside in the forest to our home base. It had deeper snow and it was finally warmer.
We made a plan of what we wanted to do outside. We drew pictures and wrote about it. Our theme was about doing things independently. We practiced counting first.
We tried to put on our snowshoes all by ourselves. When we were putting them on, it was pretty hard, but sometimes a friend would help when we asked. We are getting better at putting them on and taking them off.
During sit spots, E.T. was slipping out of her sit spot. She usually sits at the top of a hill.
J.T. was looking up at the sky to see what was different. He saw snow at the top of the trees.
We finally were able to say “what was different” about our home base. The snow was covering the fire pit and the benches so that we could hardly see them. We had to try to find the benches to sit down, but mostly we all sat on the snow.
Today for snack we had chocolate and pretzels.
It was 20 degrees outside today, although it felt like it was getting colder. Next week we are hoping to build a life-size igloo!
