Our week was full of fun! We celebrated our 100th day of school by doing a variety of fun activities.
Some students brought in 100 objects. We displayed them in our classroom and compared them. Students learned that 100 Legos looks like a lot more than 100 popcorn kernels.
Everyone had fun making necklaces with 100 fruit loops. We organized the cereal on the necklaces by grouping them in 10’s.
We also made crowns! Ten strips of paper had ten stars each, making for a grand total of 100. Some of us thought the hats looked like spiders. Students wore them proudly! (You can see the finished product below).
Our snack on 100th day included 100 things which we grouped together using our math ten frames. Once the snacks were organized, students could sample and enjoy!
The 100 piece puzzle that students began putting together proved to be challenging. I’m proud to say that everyone worked hard, showing nice teamwork and determination.
All in all, it was a great day!
