Mr. Sadowski, Miss Wetzel, Mrs. McPherson, B.C.’s dad, and B.P.’s dad were here today. We explored in the snow, building and playing.

At our pause, we were talking about food that animals eat in the winter. Animals eat seeds on flowers.

We made a rule: don’t throw snow.

In sit spots, K.W. was building a palace out of snow. J.T. found a print that someone left behind when they were walking.

We had french fries for snack! We got our potatoes from our garden. We had a kind of potato called sweet potatoes and they were sweet. First we peeled the potatoes. Next we cut the potatoes into fries with a machine. Then we cooked them in oil. We used oil because we didn’t want the french fries to burn. It tasted delicious!

During play time, the boys went to play and the girls hammered the log cabin. Then the boys hammered the cabin. It is getting higher.

This is a picture of all of us in our log cabin! Next week we are going to make a roof if it is tall enough.

Mr. Clough and our 4th grade friends were making a zip line today. There is going to be a seat for our zip line so that we can sit and slide down to the tree.

We read a book about animals that come out at night. These are nocturnal animals. Owls, bats, and skunks are nocturnal. We played a game about moths and bats. The bat got blindfolded and if the bat squeaks, the moth has to squeak. The bat was using its ears to find the moth. All of the other students were trees.

It was 37 degrees outside today. We wanted to stay out longer. We wanted to eat outside but it was wet so we had lunch inside. We had a wonderful day.
